Job Description

Digitech, a member of the Sarnova family of companies, is seeking a remote A/R Management Specialist II. Digitech sells a cloud platform for billing and analytics to EMS transport companies, running fully outsourced revenue-cycle programs aimed at improving collections and staying compliant.

The specialist covers the accounts receivable cycle for insurance claims, denials and appeals, following up until clients or providers receive what they are owed. More complicated rejections and denials require higher-level analysis. Routine duties include phoning patients, insurers, hospitals, facilities and attorneys to investigate claims, verify coverage and chase overdue balances.

The person keeps aged balances low by revisiting unpaid claims on schedule, reviews collection accounts before they go to an outside agency, and runs quality audits on assigned claims. Every account interaction must be logged in the claims system, output and accuracy benchmarks must be met, and HIPAA and other rules must be followed. Special projects assigned by the manager are included.

The posting asks for a high school credential, with an associate's degree preferred, and at least two years in healthcare claims, billing or receivables. Practical appeal submission experience, familiarity with payer denial codes and timely filing windows, and knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS and clinical vocabulary are required. EMS billing background is strongly favored. Pay is described as competitive and matched to experience, and a 401(k) plan is offered.

  • Complete special projects assigned by the manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Comfort with billing software and payer websites
  • Investigative, analytical and problem-solving strengths
  • Able to work alone in a remote, fast-moving environment
