Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Jobsiz (jobsiz.com) collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Jobsiz you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number and account type (job seeker or employer). If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Profile and career information — resumes and CVs you upload or build, work history, education, skills, profile photo and job preferences.
  • Applications — the jobs you apply to, answers to screening questions and any cover letter you attach.
  • Employer information — company name, logo, description, job postings and the contact details of the people who manage the account.
  • Messages — what you send us through the contact form, job reports and newsletter sign-ups.
  • Payments — if you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of the payment and your plan, never your full card number.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data — pages viewed, searches, jobs saved, browser type, device, referring page and approximate time of visit.
  • IP address and approximate location — used for security, to show relevant jobs, and recorded with newsletter and registration sign-ups (country and city only) so we can understand where our audience is.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see section 6 and our Cookie Policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and run your account, and to let you search, save and apply for jobs.
  • To send your application and resume to the employer you apply to.
  • To match you with relevant jobs and send job alerts you have asked for.
  • To provide AI career tools (job-fit checks, resume tailoring, cover letters, interview preparation) when you use them.
  • To process payments for paid plans.
  • To send service emails (account, security, application updates) and, if you opt in, our newsletter.
  • To keep the site safe: detecting spam, fraud, fake job postings and abuse.
  • To measure and improve the site, and to show advertising (section 5).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

We process personal information to perform our contract with you (running your account and applications), with your consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies and personalised advertising where required), for our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the service), and to meet legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share information with

  • Employers — when you apply for a job, the employer receives your application, resume and the details you submit. Jobs from partner job feeds may send you to the employer’s own site, where their privacy policy applies.
  • Service providers who process data for us under contract: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in, analytics, advertising and the Gemini AI models that power our AI tools and content features).
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Jobsiz.
  • Business transfers — if Jobsiz is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Advertising

Jobsiz shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Jobsiz and/or other sites on the internet.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads and non-essential cookies are used.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. Advertising cookies are described above. Details and how to control cookies are in our Cookie Policy.

7. How long we keep information

We keep account and profile information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Applications already sent to an employer are also held by that employer under their own policy. Contact-form messages are kept for up to two years.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • know what we collect and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (California residents) — we do not sell personal information;
  • complain to your local data-protection authority.

To use these rights, send a request through our contact page and choose “Privacy & data request”. We respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. You can update most profile information yourself from your account settings.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Children

Jobsiz is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed; for significant changes we will give notice on the site or by email.
