Job Description
Branching Minds operates as a Benefit Corporation dedicated to creating software solutions that help K-12 educators support student success and address achievement gaps. The organization seeks an Account Executive to manage full-cycle sales targeting large school districts within an assigned territory. This position suits a self-driven sales professional with experience in the educational technology sector who excels at outbound prospecting and navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
The person in this position will take charge of identifying new business opportunities, booking meetings through direct outreach, and leading sales cycles from initial contact to contract execution. Daily tasks involve deep account research, managing pipeline data through HubSpot, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating closely with implementation teams following a closed deal. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the chosen candidate joins a collaborative revenue group that prizes initiative, transparency, and self-management. Success in the role requires a balanced blend of strategic discipline, consistent activity metrics, and genuine enthusiasm for improving student outcomes through technology.

- Draft accurate proposals, negotiate agreements, and close sales to meet or surpass quarterly performance quotas
- Travel approximately forty percent of the time for professional events, industry conferences, and in-person meetings with prospects
- Record all customer interactions, pipeline stages, and close timelines accurately inside HubSpot
- Partner with customer success and implementation teams to facilitate smooth transitions after a deal closes
