Stedi is currently hiring an Accounting Manager to take charge of the monthly financial close and oversee daily accounting operations. Operating as a headless healthcare clearinghouse and revenue cycle management engine, Stedi provides AI-ready APIs and traditional transaction processes backed by prominent investors. In this remote, full-time position reporting directly to the Controller, the selected professional will maintain general ledger accuracy, build scalable accounting processes, standardize workflows, and leverage modern automation tools and AI to improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will combine precision execution with a builder mindset to strengthen internal controls, manage audit preparations, and support cross-functional teams as the business continues to scale.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger integrity
- Oversee routine accounting operations such as procure-to-pay, travel and expense, and payroll
- Prepare, analyze, and explain financial reports, supporting schedules, and variance investigations
- Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and research technical accounting questions
- Collaborate with the Controller on complex transactions and translate decisions into operational procedures
- Build and scale accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation for growing transaction volumes
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate financial workflows using modern tools and AI
- Provide guidance and operational issue resolution to cross-functional partners
- Coordinate external audit requests, lead audit workpaper preparation, and act as a primary point of contact for auditors
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including work at high-growth, early-stage, or scaling companies
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research and document accounting conclusions
- Show proficiency in technical tools, automation, and utilizing data to build reliable financial systems
Qualifications
- Hold a CPA certification
- Bring Big 4 accounting experience
