BH Properties, a privately held commercial real estate investment firm operating across eighteen states, seeks an Accounting Team Leader for a remote position. The company focuses on value-add acquisitions involving multi-family, retail, industrial, and office properties, alongside ground leases and distressed debt investments. Owning and operating approximately ten million square feet, the firm maintains a vertically integrated structure with multiple regional offices and a thirty-two-year operating history.
This full-time remote role operates during standard US Pacific Time business hours and reports directly to the Senior Managing Director. The professional chosen will provide high-level administrative and accounting support, oversee accounting operations in the Philippines, and help implement process improvements to increase operational accuracy and efficiency. This opportunity is suited for a dedicated accounting professional with extensive managerial background and audit expertise who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Review and process contractor invoices
- Keep property assignments updated
- Monitor and review the performance of the team located in the Philippines
- Oversee accounting functions handled in the Philippines
- Propose and identify process enhancements
- Assist with implementing process improvement initiatives to boost operational accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare presentations, documentation, and reports for internal and external audiences
- Facilitate and organize training sessions, onboarding, and offboarding procedures
- Deliver administrative and high-level accounting support to the Senior Managing Director
- Handle special projects and tasks assigned by the Senior Managing Director
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant license
- Latin honors recognition such as cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting or audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Strong organizational abilities, including multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and collaborative team orientation
- Availability to work during standard US Pacific Time business hours
