Job Description
Ionic Digital wants an Acquisition Analyst to help identify, screen, track and rank site and asset deals in the data center sector. The role centers on building and maintaining a database of potential targets, supporting first-pass financial screening, and preparing screening materials for internal decisions.
The analyst keeps the pipeline organized by logging market, site, operating and financial details, along with each opportunity's status, diligence items, priority ranking, upcoming actions and the history of decisions. Other tasks include running first-pass financial screens against established criteria and return thresholds, gathering and checking the data behind evaluations, assembling memos and presentations, and maintaining comparable transaction and market reference data.
The analyst also collects market intelligence and site specifics, plus operating assumptions and diligence inputs, from internal colleagues. The role proposes better ways to gather data, structure the database and move work through the process, and supports leadership with reports and ad hoc analysis on deal activity.
The posting says the role does not initially involve leading complex underwriting or building full models from scratch. Over time it can lead toward deeper underwriting, stronger financial modeling and investment memo writing. The job suits detail-oriented people who enjoy large pipelines and can produce short, decision-focused materials. Candidates may come from commercial real estate, brokerage, lending, banking or junior underwriting backgrounds.
