In this full-time role, the professional will transform access and stewardship goals into comprehensive marketing initiatives, building awareness and strengthening trust in public land preservation. The ideal candidate thrives in a distributed, high-growth environment characterized by experimentation and structured execution.
The employer builds technology to support outdoor exploration across multiple verticals, including Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, and Fish. This position centers on creating multi-channel campaigns, writing and editing customer-facing messaging, and coordinating cross-functional projects. The person in this position will collaborate closely with public relations, brand creative, product teams, and leadership to communicate critical land access and responsible recreation themes.
Suitable candidates bring a background in cause-driven marketing, exceptional writing capabilities, and familiarity with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. The position reports to the Integrated Brand Campaign Director and requires independent project ownership from concept through measurement.
While this is a remote position, the company prefers candidates residing near corporate offices in Bozeman or Missoula, Montana, or close to regional basecamps located in select U.S. cities. Responsibilities
- Design and execute integrated marketing plans for access and stewardship priorities across relevant channels from development through launch and measurement
- Transform complex program goals and subject matter into compelling customer-facing campaigns, messaging, creative briefs, and experiences
- Identify and test novel methods for advocacy storytelling, channel activation, and customer engagement using data insights
- Maintain the access and stewardship brand identity, messaging, and design guidelines for consistent expression
- Write, edit, and direct content across web, in-app, campaign, editorial, and partner channels
- Collaborate with brand creative to produce accurate and distinctive campaign assets
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across access and stewardship, brand, public relations, vertical marketing, product, and geospatial teams
- Track and report performance metrics for advocacy marketing campaigns to leadership
Requirements
- At least five years of marketing experience encompassing integrated campaign development and execution from concept to measurement
- Demonstrated experience in cause-based or mission-driven marketing
- Permanent United States work authorization
- Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or strategic location like a basecamp
- Experience using AI tools in daily tasks to improve productivity and quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience with public lands policy, outdoor recreation, conservation, or related topics
- Background working within nonprofit, government, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations
- Familiarity with the outdoor industry and core customer communities
