Job Description

CVEDIA is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer for a remote position. The company develops computer vision models and applications deployed in live products across global server and edge hardware, utilizing synthetic data and AI agents throughout its operations. In this role, the selected candidate will design agent harnesses and build systems composed of AI agents, while understanding neural network training sufficiently to direct those agents toward appropriate challenges. Responsibilities begin with learning the automated model pipeline before taking on initial model projects, expanding into vision-language model research, customer-specific problem solving, quality assurance automation, and code base improvements. Qualified applicants should possess prior experience constructing agent harnesses or workflows, managing multiple agents concurrently, and performing professional software engineering tasks on both Windows and Linux environments. The ideal professional brings a strong passion for artificial intelligence, clear communication abilities, and familiarity with open-source models. The position requires working hours that overlap with European afternoons, during which team meetings take place.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, maintain, and improve the synthetic data pipeline and automated training system
  • Take over a model project and improve it using an agent loop that generates its own data
  • Build closed-loop systems where agents train detectors and classifiers, test them against validation sets, and refine them with minimal human input
  • Design systems to handle false positives in the field by flagging uncertain detections and automating fixes
  • Lead research on vision-language models, fine-tuning them for specific tasks and employing agents to track current techniques
  • Solve detection and classification problems for customers and partners by building or extending models
  • Apply agents to quality assurance automation and code bases to find and fix bugs
  • Share working methods with the team and present results to customers when required

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience building custom agent harnesses or agentic workflows
  • Experience running multiple agents simultaneously and managing agent communication, token usage, and completion checks
  • Background in professional software engineering on Windows and Linux using Git and an issue tracker
  • Experience fine-tuning or quantifying open-source models, such as training LoRAs and running them locally
  • Familiarity with the model landscape from early GPT models to current open-source options
  • Advanced English proficiency at the C1 level with fluent communication skills
  • Availability to overlap with European afternoons for meetings

Qualifications

  • Prior training experience with object detectors or classifiers for computer vision
  • Ownership of a GPU capable of running local models for experimentation
  • Experience serving models with engines such as vLLM or SGLang, or participating in their communities
  • Background or strong interest in data science
