The Strategic Transformation group at ShopFully is seeking an experienced professional for an AI Architect, Finance position. This senior individual contributor role acts as the main technical designer for artificial intelligence solutions within financial operations, collaborating closely with accounting, planning, and treasury divisions to deliver production-grade technical applications.
This opportunity is well-suited for a seasoned technical expert with a background in applied data science or software engineering who wants to lead agentic AI and machine learning initiatives for corporate finance. The role focuses on execution, prototyping, and launching automated systems that enhance forecasting accuracy and financial workflows. Responsibilities
- Design and construct agentic AI architectures to automate financial workflows including period closes, reporting, variance analysis, and consolidations
- Create multi-agent orchestration systems incorporating proper guardrails, checkpoints, and evaluation metrics
- Develop machine learning models for revenue, cash flow, expense, and driver-based forecasting as well as anomaly detection
- Partner with engineering and security teams to productionize agents while managing identity, access, audit logging, and secrets
- Establish responsible AI practices covering model risk, bias reviews, and explainability for financial decision-making contexts
- Mentor finance analysts and engineering partners regarding artificial intelligence and machine learning patterns and concepts
Requirements
- Ten or more years of progressive background in software engineering, applied data science, or artificial intelligence
- Demonstrated experience designing and shipping production-grade artificial intelligence systems, agentic applications, or machine learning planning use cases
- Hands-on expertise with modern AI tooling, foundation models, agent frameworks, vector stores, and orchestration software
- Strong software engineering foundations covering Python, APIs, version control, testing, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Working knowledge of corporate finance and FP&A concepts such as budgeting, variance analysis, and driver-based planning
- Submission of resumes and curriculum vitae in English
