TELUS Digital seeks an AI Consulting Governance & Strategy Expert to join its AI Community on an independent contractor basis. This remote position involves operating at the intersection of business, law, and technology to help organizations scale artificial intelligence safely and effectively. The role suits professionals with a background in management consulting, corporate governance, or digital transformation who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical frameworks.
TELUS Digital operates a global AI Community comprising over one million contributors who assist customers in enhancing, training, collecting, translating, and localizing content to build advanced artificial intelligence models. Contractors in this community evaluate, research, and fine-tune AI methodologies while managing their own work schedules.
As an expert in this community, the specialist designs governance structures, creates accountability models, leads cross-functional regulatory assessments, and facilitates training programs to foster ethical artificial intelligence adoption. Candidates must pass a subject-specific qualification examination and complete identity verification prior to acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align high-value artificial intelligence use cases with long-term business objectives and return on investment targets
- Build and implement governance structures including accountability models, policy guidelines, and ethical review processes
- Lead cross-functional assessments to ensure alignment with international standards like the EU AI Act, GDPR, and NIST RMF
- Develop rubrics for model explainability and fairness to ensure traceablility and lack of bias
- Facilitate training programs and workshops to bridge the artificial intelligence expertise barrier
Requirements
- Hold at least a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Law with a digital or tech focus, Management Information Systems, or Ethics and Philosophy
- Possess native-level proficiency in a primary language
- Demonstrate a minimum B1 intermediate level of English proficiency
- Have two to three years of experience in management consulting, digital transformation, or corporate governance focused on emerging technologies
- Complete a subject-specific qualification exam and identity verification
