Job Description
MWDN is a staffing and outsourcing firm with more than two decades of matching tech specialists to employers in Israel, the US, the UK and Western Europe. For this opening, MWDN serves as the recruiting partner, and the selected engineer would work straight alongside a US client's staff on its product.
The client builds a single product suite for roofing contractors, letting them measure roofs remotely, generate reports and quick estimates, and present materials to homeowners through web and mobile apps. It has between 11 and 50 staff, was set up in 2016, and is strengthening aerial-image analysis while experimenting with AI elsewhere in the product.
The engineer's main assignment is sharpening machine vision, with a focus on overhead imagery. Expected tasks range from spotting objects and carving images into regions to sorting content and recognizing repeating structures, along with training, refining, validating and rolling out models. The post also involves evaluating newer vision, foundation and multimodal systems, building rapid prototypes, and improving precision, stability and how quickly models respond.
A good fit enjoys experimentation, can turn hunches into working demos, and is comfortable tackling open-ended challenges without granular direction. Two to three years of practical experience in AI, machine learning or vision is expected, plus solid Python and real use of PyTorch or a comparable framework. Familiarity with satellite, drone or 3D imaging would be a significant advantage.
Candidates should anticipate a recruiter conversation, an introductory meeting with the client, a technical interview, a closing client conversation and then a potential offer.
