As an AI Product Operations Lead, you will manage the internal artificial intelligence operations capability for research and development teams. This position serves as the connecting layer between artificial intelligence strategy and everyday execution, requiring you to transition ambiguous challenges into reliable, adopted solutions.
This hands-on role suits professionals who enjoy combining systems thinking, user discovery, and technical execution. You will determine the highest-value problems for automation, design solutions, and oversee their performance post-launch. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Operations, you will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, design, research, data science, information technology, and security departments.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an opportunity backlog across research and development to prioritize high-impact use cases.
- Manage problems from initial discovery through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and measurement.
- Design practical solutions ranging from prompts to custom applications that fit naturally into current user workflows.
- Partner with information technology and security teams to improve usage and enablement for enterprise tools like Glean and Claude.
- Oversee the lifecycle of internal AI systems, including automations, skills, agents, and web applications.
- Establish evaluation frameworks for reliability, observability, security, and maintenance using metric-based feedback.
- Collaborate across departments to unblock delivery and clarify ownership.
- Contribute to governance and enablement practices to provide leadership with visibility into active projects and risks.
- Work alongside finance partners to track tool usage, spending, and financial value.
- Support the creation of autonomous agents to enhance the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience applying artificial intelligence to practical, real-world challenges.
- Track record of advancing ambiguous problems through implementation, adoption, and iteration.
- Strong systems thinking capabilities to coordinate people, workflows, permissions, and tools.
- Proficiency in user discovery to uncover genuine workflow needs and simplify complex designs.
- Technical fluency to build, alter, and troubleshoot internal automations, workflows, and applications.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows including GitHub, repositories, pull requests, and basic hosting.
- Ability to manage independent work, including backlog prioritization and stakeholder communication.
- Solid understanding of evaluation methods, reliability testing, and iterative improvement.
- Capacity to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams without close day-to-day supervision.
- Judgment regarding responsible artificial intelligence, security, and access governance.
