GuidePoint Security is looking for an AI Security Engineer to join its North Central regional team within the Automation and AI Practice. In this remote position across the United States, you will assist clients with the implementation, design, operational management, and security of generative artificial intelligence solutions. This includes conducting governance assessments, evaluating large language model and agent security, discovering shadow artificial intelligence, building agentic workflows, and performing architecture reviews. You will collaborate with peers across cloud security, application security, and identity management to deliver comprehensive and secure architectures following industry standards. Responsibilities
- Perform secure configuration audits and security evaluations of corporate artificial intelligence platforms against established control frameworks like OWASP LLM Top 10 and MITRE ATLAS
- Lead threat modeling activities for artificial intelligence workloads to address risks such as prompt injection, model inversion, supply chain vulnerabilities, and excessive agency
- Evaluate development environments and coding tools for sandbox isolation, secret access, network controls, and pipeline safety
- Advise client teams on integrating application programming interfaces and software as a service artificial intelligence options securely
- Assess data ingestion pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, and vector databases to prevent unauthorized data exposure
- Perform shadow artificial intelligence discovery projects to map unsanctioned tool usage across client networks
- Design and deploy agentic artificial intelligence workflows and integrate them with automation platforms and security tools
- Create client-facing deliverables such as findings registers, secure configuration reports, control matrices, and reference architectures
- Monitor emerging artificial intelligence threat landscapes, regulatory updates, and vendor security disclosures
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of security engineering experience with a strong emphasis on application security or cloud security
- Hands-on background deploying, securing, and supporting enterprise artificial intelligence solutions like Anthropic Claude, OpenAI offerings, or Microsoft Copilot
- Familiarity with cloud provider artificial intelligence services such as AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex, or Azure AI Foundry
- Solid grasp of generative artificial intelligence concepts, large language models, foundational principles, and context engineering
- Practical experience utilizing agentic coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, Open Code, or Codex
- Understanding of artificial intelligence specific risks including data poisoning, model extraction attacks, and privilege escalation
- Capacity to generate professional client-facing documentation and assessment reports
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
