The organization is currently building a talent pool of external contractors to serve as AI Technical Mentors within its School of Artificial Intelligence. In this capacity, mentors support enrolled learners through instructional sessions, project reviews, and guidance on course materials. This flexible, part-time contractor role suits experienced technology professionals who want to share their knowledge alongside existing commitments, connect with a global community of peers, and earn supplemental income. Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized 1-1 video sessions to answer learner questions regarding course content and project submissions
- Review student project submissions and specific areas of difficulty prior to scheduled one-on-one meetings
- Prepare and deliver slide presentations for technical deep-dive sessions focusing on curriculum concepts, use cases, and rubric guidelines
- Host group question and answer sessions utilizing Slack or video platforms to assist learners with coursework and project queries
Requirements
- Demonstrate at least five years of professional technical experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence
- Possess proficiency in Python programming and API integration
- Maintain a strong understanding of core artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
- Hold familiarity with large language models and generative AI tools
- Bring experience utilizing prompt engineering, model evaluation, and machine learning libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
- Show working knowledge of AI frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases, and application workflows
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Have prior experience working with cloud computing platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Demonstrate hands-on experience completing end-to-end artificial intelligence, machine learning, or generative AI projects
