AluBuild Construction (Pvt) Ltd is hiring an Aluminium Fabrication Engineering Artisan for its Aluminium Fitting Department based in Harare. This on-site role involves constructing, assembling, and installing custom aluminium products like windows, doors, shower cubicles, partitions, facades, and balustrades. The position suits a candidate with a strong background in light metal fabrication or aluminium glazing who can operate workshop tools, calculate materials accurately, and interpret blueprints. The artisan will handle tasks independently and manage projects toward specific targets and deadlines, while also communicating effectively with clients, subordinates, and company leadership. Candidates should possess physical stamina and a solid mechanical understanding to meet safety and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system manuals to calculate material needs for doors, windows, partitions, and showers
- Run workshop machinery including mitre saws, pillar drills, power screwdrivers, punch tools, copy routers, and cramping machines
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape raw aluminium profiles to fabricate custom frames and structures
- Assemble, hang, bead, and gasket aluminium frames for doors, windows, facades, and shower cubicles
- Inspect completed items to verify compliance with safety guidelines, production schedules, and exact tolerances
- Manage project targets, timelines, and deadlines while maintaining a safe and organized work environment
- Communicate professionally with clients, subordinates, and company board members
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team efficiency and problem-solving
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in aluminium glazing or light metal fabrication
- Proficiency in utilizing power tools, hand tools, and metal machining or cutting equipment
- Knowledge of specific architectural aluminium systems
- Physical fitness and the ability to operate industrial machinery, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy items
- Adherence to workshop health and safety protocols
Qualifications
- College Certificate or Diploma in Fabrication Engineering
- Trade Test and Apprenticeship Certification in Fabrication Engineering
- Prior experience in balustrades installation
- Valid driver's licence and driving ability
