Job Description
This six-month contract is in preventive fraud for acquiring products, based in India and listed as on-site. The analyst carries out full profile reviews, works through alerts, and recommends protective steps such as card blocks or merchant suspensions when the evidence supports them. The role sits within Tide's acquiring risk and reporting work.
Duties cover risk data analysis, identifying trends and red flags, and watching both live and completed transactions. The analyst looks for unusual merchant behaviour using merchant category codes, velocity checks and transaction anomalies, handles compromised card cases, and writes SAR narratives to regulatory standards. Outbound calls to cardholders and clear communication with merchants are part of the working day.
The position requires between one and three years in financial crime, money laundering, fraud casework, transaction monitoring or card operations, covering both acquiring and issuing. Candidates should understand the risks and controls around B2B merchant onboarding, payment monitoring covering declines, chargebacks and disputes, and continuous oversight after onboarding. Experience with CDD and EDD processes, plus comfort with analysis software such as Excel, Tableau or Looker, is expected.
The role calls for flexible shift patterns and rotating week-offs, and for someone who works well independently and takes strong ownership of outcomes. The company's working model adapts to each team, offering both in-office and remote options, and Tide describes itself as a business banking platform for small firms across Britain, India, Germany and France.
