Kinaxis is seeking an Architect, Ontology & AI Innovation to provide hands-on technical leadership in agentic AI, knowledge graph, semantic technologies, and data modeling architecture. Operating within a global leader in modern supply chain orchestration, this role involves designing platform-level tooling that connects planning data and Maestro with broader enterprise environments like warehouse management, inventory, and Salesforce. The position suits an expert who thrives in a fast-moving, startup-like product setting and can translate complex enterprise domains into reusable, machine-understandable platform capabilities.
The AI team at Kinaxis operates at the intersection of applied research, product innovation, and customer impact, focusing on forecasting, optimization, replenishment, recommendations, and emerging artificial intelligence techniques. This remote position permits candidates to work from home located anywhere within the UK and Europe region.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in agentic AI, knowledge graph, semantic, and data modeling architecture
- Design platform-level tooling to connect Maestro and planning data with broader enterprise systems like warehouse management, inventory, and Salesforce
- Establish underlying data, graph, and integration architecture including ingestion pipelines, transformation, mapping, entity resolution, and schema alignment
- Contribute to technical decisions across platform architecture, graph architecture, AI integration, agentic workflows, and query-time reasoning at scale
- Mentor team members to foster structured thinking, semantic clarity, and agentic engineering practices
- Build reusable machinery that downstream product teams can configure and extend rather than focusing on customer-specific implementations
Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in enterprise software architecture, applied AI, data modeling, knowledge graph systems, or supply chain technology
- Practical understanding of enterprise supply chain or operational systems, their data modeling, and how to connect to them for business problem solving
- Hands-on experience designing platform-level software, developer tooling, composable capabilities, or prototypes demonstrating structured knowledge and agentic AI
- Proficiency in data modeling, semantic modeling, ontology, knowledge graph, or knowledge representation applied to supply chain and enterprise problems
- Experience defining reusable architecture patterns, data model governance, semantic or ontology standards, and lifecycle management
- Hands-on agentic AI and agentic engineering experience using agentic development approaches and GitHub-native engineering practices
Qualifications
- Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Experience with semantic technologies including RDF, OWL, SHACL, or SPARQL
- Background in temporal modeling, digital twins, operational intelligence systems, or enterprise orchestration platforms
- History of contributing to research, standards, open-source projects, or innovation in semantic systems, applied AI, or enterprise data platforms
- Experience with enterprise SaaS products and operating AI, graph, data, or agentic platforms at scale
- Familiarity with RAG, large language model applications, explainable AI, evaluators, or agentic quality frameworks
