Job Description
Tamara is hiring an Associate Data Scientist for its Builders Program, a graduate and early-career route aimed at people with up to two years in the field. The role is in the United Arab Emirates and is full-time and on-site. Participants are placed straight into high-impact work and are expected to take ownership early. The posting describes January and June cohorts.
The job blends product judgement, applied statistics and analytics designed for production use. The associate turns unclear questions into measurable hypotheses and builds the metric definitions and experiment designs that teams rely on. Work includes designing and reading split tests, and quasi-experiments where randomisation is not possible. The associate also builds simple predictive and segmentation models, such as churn propensity or customer clustering, with clear limits and evaluation.
Applied AI is part of the scope. The associate prototypes small, controlled language-model tools that help teams explore data, summarise experiment results or draft investigation checklists. These tools need validation and human review. Reusable datasets, dashboards and notebooks are also expected, along with checks that keep data reliable.
Candidates need strong SQL, including joins, aggregations and window functions, and one data programming language, preferably Python. Fresh graduates are eligible, and internships, capstone work and part-time roles count toward experience. The title specifies that the post is for Emirati nationals.

- Check incoming data, watch core metrics and look into unusual movements
Requirements
- Fresh graduate, or relevant experience gained through internships, capstone work or part-time posts
- Strong SQL, including joins, aggregations and window functions
- Working skill in one data programming language, preferably Python
- Basic statistics, including distributions, sampling and confidence intervals
- Basic regression and classification with an understanding of model evaluation
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Exposure to experimentation platforms such as Statsig or Optimizely
- Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI or Tableau
- Working knowledge of scikit-learn, notebooks, MLOps basics and Git
- Understanding of LLM concepts, including retrieval and evaluation approaches
- Knowledge of product analytics and causal pitfalls such as selection bias and confounding
