Responsibilities
- Conduct impartial and thorough investigations concerning discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and serious misconduct
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports, maintain confidential documentation files, and draft actionable recommendations
- Manage organizational replies to agency charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or local entities
- Coach regional and school leaders through performance improvement plans and personnel management processes
- Review all network-at-will terminations, suspensions, and non-renewals to maintain consistency and mitigate liability
- Mediate interpersonal disputes to minimize disruptions to school operations and instructional time
- Supervise mandatory employee training programs via Vector, track completion rates, and escalate overdue training items
- Perform routine internal reviews of personnel files, I-9 documents, and other employment records for accuracy
- Coordinate HR contributions for external compliance audits, EEO-1 submissions, and authorizer reporting needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of dedicated employee relations work history
- At least 3 years of direct experience conducting multi-state workplace investigations
- Working knowledge of federal employment laws along with state-specific legal requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25% to school campuses for investigations and leadership training
