Job Description
Careem is a regional company offering everyday services such as transport, grocery and food delivery, and payments. This full-time, on-site position is in Karachi and oversees the ERP Department. Its remit spans Oracle Fusion Financials, procurement via the Quik tool, HCM and payroll, and integration streams built on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The listing frames it as a hands-on leadership job: the leader resolves live production problems directly instead of handing them off.
Management duties cover running the team across finance, procurement and HR streams, signing off on expense claims, and enforcing a rule that all support and project work is recorded in a JIRA ticket. The leader hosts learning sessions about Oracle upgrades and automation, manages the Oracle relationship for support cases and upgrade planning, checks production setups before large platform changes, and sets quarterly goals reported to senior stakeholders.
Hands-on tasks include approving or declining access requests and PR requests, sorting incoming tickets, and fixing OIC execution errors and Oracle or Okta account issues for staff, contractors and partner users. The post also backs automation work, citing an AI-assisted invoice tool that reportedly cut per-invoice handling from two or three minutes to 30 to 35 seconds. Applicants need deep Oracle integration and access experience, proven savings from automation, and a habit of working with Finance, People, IT and security colleagues. No salary is listed.
Responsibilities
- Head the ERP Department across financials, procurement and HCM/payroll, including direct reports
- Personally decide each access request and purchase requisition ticket in Oracle
- Route incoming support tickets to the right engineer and follow each one to closure
- Diagnose OIC failures, flow and instance identifier problems, and Oracle or Okta access faults
- Manage the Oracle vendor relationship, including service requests and upgrade planning
- Review production setups and integration allowlists before major Oracle changes and lead go/no-go calls
- Champion RPA and AI automation and set the department's quarterly plan
Requirements
- Direct, practical experience solving Oracle Fusion, Oracle Cloud and OIC access, integration and configuration problems
- Solid command of Oracle Fusion Cloud, OIC, OCI, purchasing workflows, general ledger reporting and HCM or payroll
- Understanding of Oracle and Okta provisioning and removal of user access
- Work history with ERP suppliers and outside implementation partners, including handling service requests
- Documented record of backing automation or AI projects that saved measurable time and money
- Experience managing technical staff, including approvals and insisting on ticket-based tracking
- Able to work with Finance, People, security and regional business teams

- Undergraduate degree in computing, information systems or business administration, or a closely related field
- Oracle Cloud certifications (a bonus)
