Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawings, multi-view drafts, and layouts using CAD software
- Transform architectural notes and hand sketches into precise digital designs
- Ensure drawings comply with construction standards and fabrication limits
- Update and maintain the AutoCAD block library
- Assist engineering and architectural staff with plan takeoffs, estimating, and bid preparation
- Generate planning reports and visuals for client presentations
- Track and log project progress for internal monitoring
- Coordinate with field installers, project managers, and shop personnel to verify site conditions
- Support field teams during fabrication and installation phases
- Review specifications and drawings to check for accuracy and buildability
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of recent AutoCAD experience
- Ability to interpret and read architectural sketches, construction plans, and specifications
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for computing contours and dimensions
