Job Description
Inflect seeks an independent Backend Engineer Consultant based in Mexico to build, deliver, and maintain gateway backend services and provider adapters. Operating within a remote structure, the contractor will help onboard new supply providers into a digital infrastructure marketplace focused on datacenter, cloud, and network services. This advisory role removes procurement friction by allowing companies to acquire digital infrastructure efficiently.
The consultant will operate autonomously while collaborating across international time zones including the US, Brazil, and Poland. Responsibilities include creating Go-based backend services, supporting schema mapping frameworks, and aiding the migration from custom adapters toward self-serve onboarding tooling. The engagement suits professionals with expertise in backend integration, cloud infrastructure, and asynchronous cross-border teamwork.
This is a fixed-rate monthly B2B consulting engagement facilitated through Rippling as a Contractor of Record, with compensation ranging from $5,000 to $6,500 per month depending on experience. Contractors must be registered with the Mexican tax authority under an eligible tax regime to issue electronic invoices. The arrangement is strictly commercial with complete schedule flexibility and contains no statutory employee benefits.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Go-based backend services and provider adapters for network, bare-metal, GPU, and data providers
- Contribute to self-serve onboarding frameworks including schema mapping tools, validation guardrails, and LLM-assisted integration frameworks
- Own assigned adapter surfaces end-to-end under pod technical standards with high observability and testing
- Participate in asynchronous collaboration with distributed design, QA, and data foundation functions
- Conduct code reviews, pull-request evaluations, and update technical documentation
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional backend development experience
- Production expertise in Go or strong adjacent languages with rapid ramp-up to Go
- Experience with REST and API integrations, Postgres, Redis, and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Practical background in building provider adapters, schema mapping tooling, validation guardrails, and event-driven architectures
- Professional fluency in English for cross-border asynchronous communication
- Registration with the Mexican tax authority under an applicable business tax regime to issue electronic invoices
Qualifications
- Exposure to Node.js and TypeScript backend tooling
- Familiarity with LLM and agent integration frameworks
- Experience with GUI tooling to support self-serve adapter automation
