Coins.ph is hiring a junior to mid-level backend engineer in Manila to build Java microservices for its payment platform. The work covers features across acquiring, clearing, settlement and ledger accounting, reconciliation and exception-handling flows, and integrations with banks, local payment methods and card networks. It is a full-time, hybrid role open to candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience, and strong fresh graduates with internships or projects may apply.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain Java microservices for the payment platform
- Help build reconciliation jobs, exception-handling flows and monitoring
- Work on partner integrations with banks, local payment methods and card networks
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing and debugging
Requirements
- 1 to 5 years of backend development experience, or strong fresh graduates with internship or project experience
- Hands-on Java experience, with Spring Boot preferred
- Familiarity with microservices, RESTful APIs and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, spoken and written, and business-level English
Qualifications
- Exposure to fintech, payments, banking, e-wallets or crypto
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, GCP or Alibaba Cloud
