Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend features, REST APIs, and integrations with third-party services
- Refactor and improve existing PHP and Symfony codebases for better maintainability and extensibility
- Investigate performance bottlenecks and optimize database queries
- Construct and manage background jobs, message processing systems, and error handling mechanisms
- Write clean, testable code and engage in peer code reviews
- Collaborate closely with product managers, quality assurance, and DevOps personnel to deliver dependable solutions
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience using PHP and Symfony
- Practical understanding of PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases
- Experience in building REST APIs and integrating external services
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, application design, and clean coding standards
