Coins.ph is hiring a backend senior manager in Manila to lead its backend business and technical strategy. The role covers the backend architecture roadmap, technology selection across Java, Go, Python and Node.js, and deployment choices, plus the full development lifecycle for trading, settlement, user authentication and asset systems. It also includes backend security and compliance, disaster recovery planning, and leading the backend team. The full-time, hybrid position is based in Manila.
Responsibilities
- Set the backend technical strategy, roadmap and architecture plan aligned with business goals
- Oversee full lifecycle development of trading, settlement, user management and risk control systems
- Run security audits, vulnerability scans and penetration tests for backend systems
- Build a disaster recovery plan and lead the backend team's performance and development
Requirements
- Deep understanding of backend development technologies and senior team management experience
- Strong system architecture design skills across microservices, distributed systems and cloud-native approaches
- Knowledge of backend security and compliance requirements for digital assets
- Familiarity with FATF and MiCA regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring and alerting tooling
- Experience with containerization and coordinating with DevOps teams
