Job Description
Rad AI is seeking a Business Analytics Engineer for Customer Insights to contribute to its mission of transforming healthcare using artificial intelligence. Founded by a radiologist, the organization develops AI-driven solutions that reduce burnout, save time, and elevate patient care within radiology. This position focuses on building embedded analytics inside the company platform, giving health systems and radiology groups self-service visibility into reporting data such as template usage, turnaround times, auto-launch accuracy, and AI utilization.
This role functions as a combination of data engineer, analyst, and customer-facing partner. The professional in this position will collaborate directly with customer stakeholders—including quality leads, radiology administrators, and IT teams—to turn ambiguous requests into rigorous metrics. Responsibilities include connecting the new data platform to the existing warehouse, resolving data quality problems, designing governed data models, and delivering scalable dashboards. The ideal candidate applies statistical rigor to complex healthcare data while integrating AI agents into their workflow to model, describe, and document data relationships.
Rad AI offers comprehensive benefits for United States-based full-time staff, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, a 401(k), flexible paid time off, and various accounts such as HSA and FSA. Qualified individuals who thrive on handling ambiguous problems and communicating complex data findings to clinical audiences are encouraged to apply.

- Troubleshoot and resolve customer-specific data quality issues
- Join discovery sessions with hospital administrators, quality leads, and informatics teams to gather requirements
- Design and build the semantic layer and dashboards for customer requirements
- Apply statistical rigor to address healthcare reporting data challenges like sample sizes and outliers
- Utilize AI tools to describe, model, and document data relationships
- Own end-to-end data quality for customer-facing outputs by identifying and explaining anomalies
- Build reusable data models utilizing practices comparable to dbt and Snowflake
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
- Present data findings clearly to non-technical, clinical audiences
Requirements
- Two to five years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, or a business and BI analyst role
- Demonstrated AI fluency with practical examples from the past six months
- Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- Working statistical fluency covering confidence intervals, significance testing, and sample sizes
- Experience working with a modern governed BI or semantic layer tool such as Omni, Looker, Sigma, or ThoughtSpot
- Experience using a SQL or Python notebook environment like Hex or Mode
- Familiarity with dbt or Snowflake-style modeling environments
- Direct experience defining or maintaining a semantic layer
- Ability to run discovery sessions with external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, health IT, or another regulated industry

- Experience building or maintaining a customer-facing analytics product
- Exposure to multi-tenant data governance within an embedded analytics context
- Prior experience working in an organization that sells products into hospitals and health systems
