World Business Lenders, LLC is hiring a remote Business Applications Manager to lead its Customer Care internal organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and oversees a team of five Application Advocate Analysts. The person in this role will serve as a bridge between internal users, executive leaders, and technical departments, ensuring that internally developed software meets operational needs and delivers clear value. While the job requires strong technical fluency, it does not involve software writing or coding; engineering teams retain responsibility for underlying code fixes.
The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing direct, hands-on delivery with managerial duties such as coaching, hiring, performance tracking, and resource allocation. Responsibilities include managing requirements gathering, organizing user feedback for product owners, coordinating release readiness, and driving application adoption. The schedule requires working U.S. Eastern business hours, and the position is open to qualified international candidates who can maintain a reliable professional remote workspace. Occasional extra availability may be requested during critical production releases or unexpected incidents.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and evaluate five Application Advocate Analysts while setting service standards
- Allocate team coverage based on application scale, risk, and demand with clear escalation paths
- Lead requirements discovery, handle complex support issues, and oversee major rollouts directly
- Gather user feedback and requirements for designated product owners or business sponsors
- Coordinate release readiness, testing, and user enablement alongside technical groups
- Translate recurring user pain points into evidence-based improvement proposals for product owners
- Maintain communication channels for incidents, requests, questions, and feedback
- Track application health, adoption metrics, risks, and team capacity while escalating major issues to the CIO
Requirements
- Have at least eight years of relevant experience in business systems, application operations, or internal customer success
- Bring a minimum of three years of people leadership experience managing remote teams
- Demonstrate recent hands-on delivery experience and a track record of improving production application support
- Show success in building functions, enhancing production capabilities, and aligning priorities with senior leadership
- Maintain availability during U.S. Eastern business hours from a reliable remote environment
- Possess strong analytical capabilities and communication skills in English
Qualifications
- Background working in lending or financial services
- Experience handling business-user support and data reconciliation
- Demonstrated technical capability, leadership, and delivery experience (a formal degree is not mandatory)
