NEC Software Solutions (India) is hiring a Business Consultant specializing in Council Tax and Business Rates. In this position, the professional will guide UK local authorities through software deployments, billing procedures, and system migrations while maximizing the value of the NEC Revenues and Benefits solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to analyze operational challenges, conduct product demonstrations, and deliver training sessions either in person or via webinar. This position is well-suited for individuals who possess a strong aptitude for problem-solving, enjoy building client relationships, and want to apply their local government operational background to a variety of software implementation tasks.
Work arrangements vary based on proximity to an NEC facility, functioning as either a home-based or hybrid schedule. Professionals in this role must be ready to travel and work away from home as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Provide training and consultancy on NEC product and service implementations
- Conduct consulting sessions and training via webinars, screen shares, or on-site visits
- Run presentations and software demonstrations for delegates
- Help develop new consultancy offerings for newly released software and services
- Advise clients on best practices for utilizing NEC software according to business needs
- Gather client feedback on products and services to share with internal stakeholders
- Participate in product development by assisting with user guides and attending user groups
- Run seminars for large groups of customers
- Keep up to date on relevant legislation and product updates
- Mentor team members and participate in internal training to expand delivery capacity
- Take on temporary duties in related areas such as product management, testing, support, or business analysis as workloads dictate
Requirements
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Business Rates, Council Tax, or related NEC products and services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve problems under demanding conditions
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently or as part of a team
- Valid UK driving license
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as required
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK
Qualifications
- Experience with integration and interfaces involving NEC Revenues and Benefits products
- Familiarity with the NEC Citizen Access platform
- Background in working directly with customers or external agencies
- Experience delivering seminars or training
