The Finance and Analytics team provides the definitive view of company performance to guide internal decisions and meet obligations to auditors, tax authorities, and investors.
Metabase is currently hiring a Business Operations Manager (Finance & Analytics) to lead a portfolio of analytical initiatives and manage a functional area of finance operations. This remote position is suited for a quantitative-minded generalist who thinks in systems, learns unfamiliar domains rapidly, and approaches challenges from first principles. The selected candidate will define core metrics, automate compliance and operational workflows, and coordinate with external specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytical projects that determine how business performance is measured and understood, such as refining the annual recurring revenue definition
- Evaluate the health and performance of the sales and marketing marketing funnel
- Analyze connections between product initiatives and customer expansion or churn
- Manage a traditional finance domain such as accounting or tax, which includes operational tasks and oversight of external experts
- Automate domain workflows and compliance requirements to reduce manual effort
- Drive cross-functional projects to resolve operational challenges
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally within a high-growth startup environment
- Demonstrate strong quantitative analytical abilities across areas like financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data transformation
- Have SQL experience
- Show proficiency in utilizing AI tools efficiently while understanding their constraints
- Display strong organizational skills and attention to detail when balancing multiple workstreams
- Be based in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom

Qualifications
