Job Description

ClickUp is hiring a Business Systems Engineer for its GTM Engineering team. The role designs, builds and operates the automation and AI systems behind the company's go-to-market operation, covering core business apps and the connectors between them. The posting describes the position as AI-native: the engineer would build agents, LLM-driven automations and integrations on MCP and modern iPaaS tools, rather than only maintaining existing workflows. The listing is marked remote.

Much of the work involves connecting Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, MuleSoft, DealHub and other GTM platforms. The engineer would own integration patterns for pipelines running from lead conversion through quote-to-cash, order handling and revenue reporting, and would weigh build-or-buy choices for each need. Other duties include building internal tools with low-code platforms, writing Python, JavaScript or Apex where platforms fall short, monitoring automations, investigating failures, maintaining runbooks and gathering requirements from sales, finance, revenue operations and customer success teams.

The posting asks for roughly three to five or more years in business systems, systems administration or integration engineering, with production automations that delivered measurable value. Hands-on Salesforce work and experience with at least one ERP system are required, with NetSuite strongly preferred. Production experience with AI or LLM-powered automations, or a clear path toward it, is expected. Admin or developer-level Salesforce skill, plus work with Workato, MuleSoft, Zapier or similar tools, is listed. The posting does not state a salary range. It says ClickUp cannot sponsor visas for roles outside engineering and product, and that sponsorship in those functions depends on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered automations and agent workflows across Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato and MuleSoft
  • Develop ClickUp Super Agents and LLM automations for deal enrichment, quote assistance, order validation and exception handling
  • Design MCP integrations that let AI agents work safely with business systems
  • Evaluate RAG, fine-tuning and multi-agent approaches for production readiness
  • Maintain integrations and data flows for critical revenue and order processes
  • Write scripts and internal tools with Python, JavaScript, Apex, Retool or Replit
  • Monitor automations, perform root-cause analysis and keep documentation current
  • Scope technical solutions with sales, finance and revenue operations stakeholders

Requirements

  • Roughly three to five or more years in business systems, systems administration or integration engineering
  • Shipped automations or integrations with measurable production impact
  • Hands-on Salesforce work plus experience with at least one ERP system
  • Production experience with AI or LLM automations, or a clear path toward it
  • Ability to juggle several priorities in a fast-moving environment

Qualifications

  • NetSuite experience (strongly preferred)
  • DealHub, quote-to-cash or revenue operations experience (optional)
  • ClickUp Super Agents experience (a strong plus)
