Job Description
How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm assists solo practitioners and small law firms in developing sound, profitable financial operations. The organization is seeking a full-time, remote CFO & Business Advisor to guide approximately thirty law firm clients. In this position, the professional serves as the primary financial guide, meeting directly with business owners to enhance profit margins, cash flow, pricing strategies, and overall financial health while assisting with growth and hiring decisions. The employer supplies the client base, infrastructure, and systems, meaning the advisor can focus entirely on advisory duties without cold calling, prospecting, or business development. The role requires personally reviewing financial statements, building financial models, spotting discrepancies, and developing forecasts. Candidates should possess extensive hands-on experience in small and midsized business finance leadership, rather than traditional bookkeeping or pure management without direct analysis. The position is fully remote for individuals residing in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA.

- Possess advanced hands-on capabilities in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and cash flow management
- Provide examples of helping businesses boost profitability, pricing, margins, or overall financial performance
- Communicate financial concepts clearly and offer practical business guidance
- Reside in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington
