Responsibilities
- Analyse samples per test method instructions and report results on time
- Verify results against control samples and re-analyse when controls fall outside limits
- Verify instruments and help with maintenance and minor calibration
- Supervise the shift, control time keeping and train new staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory
- Operational experience in a SANAS 17025 accredited facility
- Fully acquainted with SLIMS administration and operation
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise several tasks under pressure
Qualifications
- National Diploma in analytical chemistry
- BTech or BSc in chemistry is an added advantage
- Supervisory experience is an advantage
