Egen is seeking a Client Partner to spearhead its public sector sales operations across the East Coast, focusing on State, Local, and Higher Education institutions. Operating with a data-first philosophy and a strong alliance with Google Cloud, Egen delivers advanced technology services encompassing cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions. This position requires an experienced sales leader capable of driving new customer acquisition, managing P&L responsibilities, and guiding complex procurement processes.
As the primary representative of the organization, the chosen professional will engage directly with executive leadership, Chief Information Officers, and business decision-makers. The role suits a senior rainmaker skilled at scaling multi-million dollar portfolios and navigating government agency needs. Responsibilities span the complete sales lifecycle, from initial opportunity qualification through deal closure, alongside collaboration with technical delivery teams to draft Statements of Work.
Candidates must possess a solid background in technology services sales targeting government accounts, combined with technical comprehension of cloud adoption and data architecture. The position offers remote work flexibility with the expectation of regional client-facing travel. Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from initial opportunity qualification to closing complex transactions within government and higher education accounts
- Formulate and execute strategic account plans while maintaining full P&L accountability and meeting individual and team bookings targets
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives, vice presidents, and directors across public sector agencies
- Collaborate with Google Cloud and other platform teams to execute go-to-market strategies, co-selling initiatives, and joint lead generation
- Work alongside technical delivery teams to scope projects and prepare Statements of Work utilizing company accelerators
- Partner with marketing teams to produce regional campaigns and document client success stories
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of technology services sales experience focused on state and local government agencies
- Demonstrated technical literacy concerning cloud adoption lifecycles, data architecture, and analytics
- Deep expertise in public sector procurement processes and agency-specific requirements
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with both IT leadership and business decision-makers
- Availability to travel within the assigned region for client engagements
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
