Job Description
GuidePoint Security is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Intern to join its Northeast region as part of the GPSU program. The firm offers cybersecurity expertise and solutions to help major organizations minimize risk and manage threats. In this remote position, you will collaborate with the NE AI, AppSec, and DevSecOps teams to support the Security Innovation and Technology Lab, which serves as a multi-cloud evaluation environment.
You will receive mentorship while gaining practical experience in constructing and operating cloud lab infrastructure, assisting with client proof-of-concept and proof-of-value assignments, and observing limited client interactions. This temporary role is structured for learners who want hands-on engagement with infrastructure automation in a fast-moving, practitioner-led setting.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using Terraform and Ansible under guidance
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline development using GitHub Actions
- Develop, test, and upkeep reusable infrastructure-as-code modules within version control
- Build environments for security tool proof-of-concept and proof-of-value tasks from setup to teardown
- Maintain version-controlled documentation and operational runbooks
- Assist with security tool evaluations covering vulnerability management, CNAPP, EDR, application security, and AI security
- Help construct agentic harnesses that test vendor products against client-defined criteria using artificial intelligence and large language model application programming interfaces
- Contribute to findings reports and join client walkthrough sessions under mentorship
Requirements
- Practical experience with a minimum of one infrastructure-as-code tool such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Physical residency within the United States during the internship
- Availability to work twenty-five to twenty-nine hours per week from Monday through Friday supporting the Eastern Time Zone
- Possession of a personal computing device and high-speed internet access for working hours
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program focused on computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
- Exposure to scripting or programming languages like Python or Bash
- Preferred time zone availability in the Eastern or Central time zones
