Job Description
Salla is seeking a Cloud Native Data Ops professional to design, scale, and secure its growing platform infrastructure. In this role, you will work across customer-facing applications, APIs, internal platforms, and data services to guarantee system availability, performance, and cost efficiency. You will be hands-on with Kubernetes, observability tools, GitOps, automation, and cloud infrastructure while collaborating with application, platform, and data teams to deliver self-healing environments. This position suits an engineer who enjoys complex distributed systems, automates operational tasks, and balances speed, stability, and production costs.
Core duties involve deploying and maintaining workloads across Kubernetes clusters, building auto-scaling systems, managing database and storage platforms, and enforcing disaster recovery protocols. You will also oversee backup strategies, storage performance, block and object storage platforms, and secure networking integration. Additional responsibilities include championing GitOps and CI/CD pipelines, administering monitoring and alerting stacks, leading incident responses, enforcing security and compliance measures, and optimizing system performance and cloud costs.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain production workloads across Kubernetes clusters
- Build auto-scaling and self-healing systems to reduce manual intervention
- Operate reliable database and storage platforms within Kubernetes environments
- Execute backup, disaster recovery, replication, and failover strategies
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes Persistent Volumes including StorageClasses and CSI drivers
- Optimize storage performance using multi-tier strategies and lifecycle policies
- Scale object storage platforms for high-throughput data pipelines
- Manage block storage and shared file systems for resilience and cost control
- Collaborate on optimizing networking, ingress traffic, and service mesh tools
- Implement GitOps and CI/CD workflows using ArgoCD, Flux, and GitHub Actions
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and upgrades with Terraform and Helm
- Manage monitoring and alerting stacks via Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenSearch
- Lead incident management and postmortems
- Enforce least-privilege IAM policies, RBAC, secret management, and network firewalls
- Analyze and tune system performance under scale and introduce cost visibility dashboards
