The company is seeking a Collections Specialist to work remotely on a full-time basis. In this individual contributor capacity within the personal finance department, the professional will focus on resolving overdue accounts and increasing recovered payments. Daily functions center on managing delinquent accounts, conducting inbound and outbound telephone communications with clients to secure debt resolution, and identifying pathways to return loans to a current status while adhering to internal compliance standards. The role pays $18.00 per hour plus a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Manage collections of outstanding payments within the personal finance department as an individual contributor
- Locate accounts carrying overdue balances and develop solutions to restore loans to current standing
- Fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly collection metrics and performance targets
- Conduct inbound and outbound client telephone communications to resolve outstanding debts
- Ensure all activities comply with internal collections policies and procedures
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management
Requirements
- Have one to two years of direct experience in credit and collections
- Demonstrate familiarity with sales, negotiation, and persuasion tools
- Possess strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Display a self-motivated, highly goal-oriented, and professional demeanor while acting as a team player
