Job Description
Public Group is looking for a Commercial Budget & Performance Specialist to assist with business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking across various sales channels and product categories. In this position, the selected individual will generate insights that inform commercial choices and support the achievement of profitability and growth goals. Public Group operates an omnichannel retail presence in Greece and Cyprus through Public, combining technology and entrepreneurship alongside an ecosystem of partner organizations and scaleups.
This role suits an analytical professional who enjoys collaborating across multiple internal departments to evaluate data and develop recommendations. Daily duties involve tracking budget execution, investigating variances, and reviewing performance metrics. The selected specialist will work alongside Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to maintain alignment on business objectives and participate in optimization projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for commercial categories
- Track sales, margins, profitability, and key performance indicators
- Examine business performance to spot trends, opportunities, and risks
- Design and distribute regular reports, presentations, and dashboards for management
- Monitor budget implementation and research target variances
- Partner with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain groups to align objectives
- Evaluate promotional, pricing, and category performance
- Create data-backed recommendations to enhance commercial outcomes and operational efficiency
- Take part in strategic initiatives centered around revenue growth, business optimization, and profitability
Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of background in commercial planning, financial planning, business analysis, retail analytics, or a comparable analytical position
- Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities
- Strong communication capabilities
- Proficiency in both English and Greek
- Solid problem-solving and analytical aptitude with attention to detail
- Skill in interpreting data to form actionable business recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, supply chain, statistics, or a related field
- Prior exposure to business intelligence platforms such as Microsoft Power BI
