SGS is hiring a Conformance Analyst - TCT1 to ensure accurate and prompt issuance of Certificates of Conformity. This role focuses on meeting the productivity and quality goals of the Certification Center by evaluating exporter and product risk levels, identifying essential product requirements, and applying relevant standards according to established workflows and business rules.
The position involves offering technically sound judgments regarding certification and product standards, as well as helping resolve technical inquiries and certification cases using specialized knowledge of specific commodities and goods.
Responsibilities
- Ensure correct and timely Certificate of Conformity issuance in alignment with Certification Center productivity and quality goals
- Assess exporter and product risk levels
- Identify essential product requirements and applicable standards using business rules, process flows, and Conformity Assessment Instructions
- Provide quality and technically grounded opinions on product standards and certification
- Help resolve certification cases, standards issues, and other inquiries through technical expertise on specific goods and commodities
Requirements
- Possess knowledge related to the field of expertise such as product design, research, manufacturing, specification, or testing
Qualifications
- University degree
- Background in conformity assessment including product certification, accreditation systems, inspection protocols, product testing, and industrial metrology
- Familiarity with industrial standardization concepts and international standards development and implementation such as ISO, IEC, EN, ANSI, and ASTM
- Understanding of quality management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO/TS 16949, or similar frameworks
