This full-time, on-site role in Abuja is for an internal medicine consultant in the General Medical and Surgical Services department. The physician assesses and manages adult patients with chronic and acute illness, including diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, and works with a multidisciplinary team on treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illness, and order and interpret tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe and monitor medications and provide preventive care.
- Educate patients on health management and collaborate with specialists and allied health staff.
- Mentor junior medical staff and interns and take part in quality improvement and research.
