Job Description
HumanIT Digital Consulting is recruiting a senior content modeller for the content domain of a major retail organization. The role mixes requirements analysis, structured content design and platform enablement, and supports a headless content system built on Contentful. The goal is to shift away from a single team acting as the gatekeeper for content toward a governed, self-service setup.
The modeller designs reusable, API-ready content structures for web, mobile and newer channels. Work covers current delivery needs such as campaigns, experimentation and personalization, as well as governance rules, reusable modelling templates and a searchable content design library. The modeller works with product, UX, engineering and platform staff, runs discovery sessions, writes technical documentation for engineers, and improves editorial workflows.
The work is entirely remote from within Portugal, with optional office spaces in Porto, Aveiro and Coimbra. Applicants need at least six years in BA work, content modelling, or both, deep enterprise Contentful work, and fluency with GraphQL, REST and JSON schemas. Fluent English is required and Portuguese is a plus. Pay is listed at EUR 2,500 to EUR 3,250 net per month, depending on experience and seniority.
Responsibilities
- Shape reusable, scalable models in Contentful, covering types, references and environments
- Turn what editors need into durable, reusable data layouts
- Set taxonomy and governance rules, plus localized workflows and self-service setups
- Document models clearly for engineers
- Facilitate discovery workshops and improve editorial workflows
- Help build a discoverable content design system and library
- Work with product, UX and engineering on campaign and personalization initiatives
Requirements
- At least six years in BA work, content modelling, or both
- Strong enterprise Contentful experience, including spaces, environments, content types, publishing and governance
- Hands-on content model design in Contentful or an equivalent headless platform such as Contentstack or Sanity
- Comfort with API-based delivery, from GraphQL and REST down to JSON schema design, plus the Contentful GraphQL Content API
- Solid grasp of references, taxonomies, localization, rich text and reusable schemas
- Fluent spoken and written English
Qualifications
- Scripting work against Contentful's management API, including model migrations
- Past moves of old content into structured data models
- Experience in retail or online-shop domains
- Familiarity with design systems; linking UI component libraries to content models
- Awareness of tools for tailoring experiences and running tests
- Portuguese language skills
