The organization builds data services that help Fortune 1000 corporations and software vendors minimize payment processing expenses.

As a principal figure on the leadership team, this position oversees financial recordkeeping, the monthly close process, audits, compliance frameworks, and internal controls. The role also spearheads the integration of artificial intelligence within the finance division to streamline transaction processing for partner payouts, commissions, and recurring subscription revenue.

This opportunity is well-suited for an accounting professional with extensive enterprise experience who can modernize workflows using technology. Candidates must reside in the United States, as remote work eligibility is limited to U.S. residents without visa sponsorship requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operational accounting and reporting functions while maintaining the general ledger and corporate books
  • Direct the monthly closing cycle, account reconciliations, and financial consolidations according to a scheduled calendar
  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing operations
  • Calculate and execute partner revenue share disbursements, audit sales commissions, and collaborate with human resources on variable compensation
  • Establish and oversee internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to maintain audit readiness
  • Act as the main point of contact for external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits
  • Collaborate with executive management on budgeting, forecasting, and variance evaluation
  • Coordinate with legal, sales, and professional services teams to manage order-to-cash workflows and contract terms
  • Direct the implementation and ongoing improvement of accounting technology platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, Ramp, and Gusto
  • Integrate artificial intelligence into standard financial workflows to automate recurring tasks, monitor transactions for anomalies, and accelerate reporting outputs

Requirements

  • Possess ten or more years of relevant accounting background
  • Have at least three years of experience operating as a Controller or in an equivalent Assistant Controller capacity at a medium-sized or large corporation
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience managing accounting functions for businesses featuring high transaction volumes and recurring revenue models
  • Show a proven history of executing efficient financial closes and leveraging technology to eliminate manual tasks
  • Bring practical application experience with artificial intelligence tools in a finance setting, or show a demonstrated ability to learn them swiftly
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Reside within the United States with legal authorization to work

Qualifications

  • Hold a Certified Public Accountant designation
  • Bring background in public accounting
  • Possess prior financial planning and analysis experience
  • Have familiarity with Salesforce, Ramp, or comparable business software platforms
