It handles claims for veterans' programs, workers' comp, motor vehicle accident cases and out-of-state Medicaid, plus denials for every payer class. This remote Data Analyst position turns complex healthcare data into insights that guide operational and strategic decisions.
The analyst works with large, complicated datasets to uncover trends and measure operational and financial performance. Duties include building and maintaining reports, dashboards and analytical models; joining tables and checking data quality; and writing SQL to prepare datasets. The analyst also turns results into executive-ready summaries, records methods and assumptions, and coordinates with colleagues in account management, operations, product, IT and data governance. Since the audience ranges from technical experts to non-specialists, clear communication is central.
The role requires a four-year degree in an analytical or business discipline, such as analytics, finance or computer science, plus five-plus years of work in data analysis, reporting or relational databases. Three to five years of healthcare, revenue cycle or software-as-a-service background is strongly preferred, along with knowledge of terms like CPT codes, DRGs and claims. Requirements also include Databricks experience, and a combined three years of integrating Databricks with Power BI and Claude Code. Tableau or Qlik experience is a plus. No salary is listed.
Responsibilities
- Dig into large datasets to find trends, patterns and actionable findings
- Maintain reports, dashboards and analytical models for operations and finance
- Convert analysis into concise executive briefings and slides
- Translate stakeholder needs into data solutions
- Write queries that extract, reshape and prepare data
- Combine tables and verify the integrity of the data
- Record methodology, assumptions and workflows
- Monitor performance and contribute to ongoing improvement
Requirements
- Four-year degree in a relevant field such as analytics, finance, business, computer science or healthcare administration
- Five or more years working with data analysis, reporting or relational databases
- Working knowledge of CPT codes, DRGs, claims and inpatient or outpatient care
- Experience with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform
- Three years combined integrating Databricks with Power BI and Claude Code
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and SQL
- Exposure to statistical analysis or forecasting models
- Careful attention to accuracy and validation
Qualifications
- Three to five years of healthcare, revenue cycle or software-as-a-service background (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Tableau or Qlik, in addition to Power BI (preferred)
