Responsibilities
- Model and build data structures using DBT Cloud to modernize the data platform
- Transform raw data into a business-focused semantic layer for analysis and insights using DBT Cloud
- Partner with data analysts to design data models supporting self-service analytics
- Conduct data analysis, research data issues, and communicate findings
- Develop data-driven solutions addressing business problems and opportunities
- Optimize business processes and define core business logic
- Enforce data security measures within data models and data structures
- Investigate complex business questions and execute experiments to gather supplementary data
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing DBT Cloud
- Strong programming skills in Python and Bash, along with experience using Spark
- Hands-on experience working with AWS services including Redshift, Glue, and S3
- Strong SQL abilities combined with experience in schema design and data modeling
- 1+ years of experience using workflow management tools such as Dagster, Prefect, or Airflow
- Familiarity with data security, data quality, and data governance best practices
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Tableau
- Experience with Kubernetes Cluster, Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code, AWS CLI, and IBM I DB2
- Integration experience with Salesforce, Zendesk, Delighted, and AWS Aurora Databases
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
