Job Description
Harbor, a global organization of over 900 professionals delivering strategy, legal technology, operations, and intelligence services, seeks a Data Migration and Integration Consultant. This remote position based in the United Kingdom involves travel to client locations as needed and forms a technical cornerstone of the firm's HR and payroll transformation practice.
The successful candidate will manage the safe transfer of client information into modern human capital management platforms while engineering robust connectivity with surrounding business systems. Projects involve platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, and Oracle HCM, guiding clients from messy legacy sources through validated cutovers, integration requirements, and ongoing support. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented technical professional who can also communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical human resources and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data migration workstreams for SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM from initial strategy through to post-launch hypercare
- Define migration methodologies, data object scopes, sequence loads, cutover schedules, and rollback strategies
- Assess legacy data quality to pinpoint gaps, redundancies, and inconsistencies while agreeing on cleansing responsibilities with clients
- Establish and maintain mapping and transformation rules linking legacy sources to target architectures
- Execute, build, and reconcile data loads throughout multiple testing cycles, mock conversions, and final production cutovers
- Generate validation and reconciliation reports to ensure completeness and accuracy for clients
- Advise customers on data archiving, retention policies, and handling historical records
- Gather and outline integration specifications across human resources, payroll, benefits, finance, and third-party vendors
- Design and deploy interfaces utilizing native platform tools and middleware while addressing error handling, data flows, and security
- Assist with end-to-end and parallel payroll testing to resolve system defects
- Establish sustainable post-launch monitoring, support routines, and error resolution processes
- Employ ETL technology for large-scale data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Develop reusable practice templates, accelerators, and auditable transformation scripts
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating integration and data matters into plain language for programme stakeholders
- Assist with scoping, proposal writing, and estimations for migration and integration initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the practice
Requirements
- Proven data migration experience involving at least one of SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM across multiple full lifecycle projects
- Integration design and technical delivery background including specification production, interface building, and testing
- Hands-on expertise using ETL tools to manipulate large and imperfect datasets
- Deep understanding of human resources and payroll data structures, including personal data sensitivities and cutover accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to run validation and reconciliation across production loads and test cycles
- Clear communication skills capable of engaging technical teams and human resources stakeholders alike
- Right to work in the United Kingdom with a willingness to travel to client sites as required
Qualifications
- Experience working across more than one of SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or Oracle HCM
- Familiarity with platform-specific tools such as Workday EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, SAP Integration Suite, Infoporter, Oracle HDL, or OIC
- Background in payroll migrations and parallel run reconciliation
- Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection regulations relevant to migration and integration work
- Previous exposure to legal sector or professional services clients
- Prior consulting experience or a client-side background paired with a strong consulting mindset
