Alimentiv is searching for a Database Programmer to join its team on a full-time basis, offering a salary between USD 75,000 and 125,000 per year. In this role, the professional will handle the design, building, testing, maintenance, and archiving of clinical trial databases throughout their complete lifecycle. The position centers heavily on expanding electronic data capture capabilities through the deployment and adoption of Medidata Rave EDC.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with technical expertise in clinical data management who want to contribute to life-changing research. Daily duties involve creating custom functions using C#, setting up electronic case report forms, and building automated edit checks for data validation. The person in this role will also generate data listings, handle data uploads and transfers, troubleshoot technical challenges, and collaborate closely with internal project teams and external sponsors to ensure accurate database delivery.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain clinical study databases across the entire study lifecycle
- Support the deployment and ongoing adoption of Medidata Rave EDC
- Develop and test custom functions utilizing C# programming
- Create annotated electronic Case Report Forms and program automated edit checks
- Build and test files necessary for electronic data uploads, transfers, and integrations
- Generate clinical data listings and project tracking reports
- Manage database access, handle change request publishing, and archive electronic documentation
- Resolve database programming issues and provide technical support to project teams and sponsors
- Communicate progress, milestones, and technical challenges to internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the enhancement of database programming processes and departmental procedures
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Medidata Rave EDC development, configuration, and maintenance
- Proficiency in C# programming to independently build, test, and troubleshoot custom functions
- Experience in developing and maintaining electronic Case Report Forms and automated edit checks
- Knowledge of clinical database programming workflows including data transfers and uploads
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- A post-secondary certificate or diploma from a college, training institute, or equivalent institution
- One to three years of related database programming experience, with four to six years preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated
