Job Description
Cordial is seeking a Deliverability Consultant to act as a subject matter expert for clients and internal teams. Founded in 2014, Cordial operates a marketing and communications platform utilized by brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, L.L. Bean, PacSun, Realtor.com, Revolve, and Forbes. In this full-time role, the professional will interpret deliverability metrics like bounce logs and engagement data, supply actionable guidance through reports and business reviews, support the sales process, and handle new client implementations.
This position is suited for an autonomous professional with a strong background in email deliverability who can translate complex data for non-technical marketers. The daily routine includes managing multiple projects, collaborating with support and client success teams, writing knowledge base content, and tracking industry trends across communities such as EmailGeeks and M3AAWG. As part of a growth-stage startup, the individual will also tackle side projects to improve internal processes and client experiences.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients toward sending success by analyzing deliverability data and providing actionable advice through business reviews and meetings
- Onboard and implement programs for diverse clients across various volumes, cadences, and industries
- Collaborate with Client Success, Strategy, Solutions, and Support teams to satisfy client goals
- Manage internal stakeholders and external client expectations regarding project timelines
- Document ongoing project work and create best practice documentation for clients and internal teams
- Write content for company blogs and knowledge bases
- Identify process gaps and implement creative solutions
- Monitor and report on industry trends from communities such as M3AAWG, CSA, EEC, and EmailGeeks
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in a deliverability-focused role
- Familiarity with MTA service providers including PMTA, SendGrid, and Sparkpost
- Expertise in sending mechanics for top-level ISPs and MBPs like Gmail, Microsoft, and VMG
- Strong knowledge of SMTP protocol and email authentication methods such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, ARC, and BIMI
- Direct experience executing new client onboarding, including domain and IP warmups
- Ability to explain high-level technical data to non-technical marketers in clear formats
- Experience consulting with C-level executives and decision-makers
- Proficiency in G Suite applications including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive
Qualifications
- Troubleshooting experience with sending to EMEA and APAC regions
- Foundational knowledge of development tools and APIs including SQL
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio
