Job Description
PostHog is looking for a Developer Marketer to lead sales enablement in a fully remote role. The company presents its product as a context layer that holds analytics, error data, session replays and business information, so that people and their AI tools can search it and act on it. The posting also mentions a Y Combinator W20 origin, more than 500,000 organizations that have installed the software, and over $180 million in funding.
The job takes positioning and messaging from across the company and reshapes it into material that sellers can use in live deals. The marketer owns sales enablement from start to finish, maintains playbooks inside the public company handbook, and turns product marketing work into battlecards and talk tracks, along with discovery question sets and enablement sessions. Other duties include writing positioning for platform features that have no dedicated product marketer, and mining call recordings and internal chat threads for customer scenarios, pushback and frustrations.
PostHog expects enablement to ship weekly and to change quickly according to what sellers actually use. Whitepapers, decks nobody reads, formal certification programs, CRM or pipeline ownership, and multi-quarter initiatives without near-term payoff are explicitly outside the job. The person needs strong writing and research abilities, some development background whether formal or self-taught, and experience writing for technical buyers. Meetings are kept to a minimum, since Tuesdays and Thursdays are protected for focused work.
The strongest fit has marketed to developers, produced enablement content that gets used in practice, and works closely with sales as the main internal customer. The posting does not state a salary.
Responsibilities
- Be the go-to owner for sales enablement, covering positioning, rival comparisons, objection handling and customer narratives.
- Build and upkeep playbooks inside the public handbook, organized so reps can find answers mid-call.
- Turn product marketing output into battlecards and talk tracks, plus discovery questions and training sessions.
- Write positioning for platform features and product areas that currently lack a dedicated product marketer.
- Mine call recordings and Slack threads for scenarios, pushback and frustrations, then feed them back into messaging and content.
- Ship enablement assets every week and iterate based on what sellers find useful.
Requirements
- Strong writing, research and communication abilities.
- Some development experience, whether formal or informal, including side projects.
- Experience writing for developers or other technical readers.
- A record of producing sales enablement content that is used in practice.
- Willingness to partner closely with sales as the primary customer.
Qualifications
- Experience turning call recordings into insight with tools such as Gong or Granola.
- Familiarity with handbook-style documentation kept as the authoritative reference.
- Exposure to developer tools products.
- Prior work as a product, growth or content marketer.
