Job Description

Mixpanel, a leading product intelligence and analytics platform trusted by over 29,000 businesses, is seeking a Digital Adoption & Lifecycle Manager to join its Customer Engineering organization remotely.

This position is designed for an independent builder who wants to shape a newly established function from the ground up rather than maintain existing systems. Operating within the Customer Digital Experience team, this professional will own communications targeting adoption, retention, and expansion across the entire customer base, with a primary focus on unmanaged digital-only accounts.

The role involves crafting behavior-based segmentation, writing customer-facing copy, executing multi-channel campaigns, and pioneering agentic customer success strategies utilizing artificial intelligence. This is a highly collaborative position that requires working alongside marketing, product, and customer-facing teams to align engagement timing and harmonize messaging across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end lifecycle communication strategies spanning onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Establish behavior-based audience segmentation utilizing product usage data, health signals, and account attributes.
  • Write concise and valuable copy for emails, in-product messaging, and digital channels.
  • Build, test, and launch campaigns utilizing automation tools such as Customer.io, HubSpot, and Statisfy.
  • Coordinate with the marketing department to manage a shared email calendar and prevent audience overlap.
  • Translate product launches and feature updates into targeted lifecycle initiatives.
  • Define program success metrics, monitor performance inside Mixpanel, and conduct regular reporting on engagement and retention.
  • Run experiments regarding subject lines, timing, sequencing, and channel mix to optimize campaign performance.
  • Pilot agentic customer success approaches that deploy AI to personalize touchpoints and handle interactions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in customer lifecycle communications within a B2B SaaS setting focused on post-sale stages.
  • Proven background as a strong writer capable of communicating clearly with technical audiences.
  • Hands-on technical familiarity with marketing automation platforms like Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, or Iterable.
  • Fluency in product analytics tools such as Mixpanel to pull data and define user segments.
  • Familiarity with customer success software including Statisfy, Gainsight, or Totango.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects independently in an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience contributing directly to business outcomes such as net retention rate, gross retention rate, and activation rates.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience launching a scaled or digital customer success program at a company.
  • Background serving self-serve or long-tail customer segments that rely exclusively on digital channels.
  • Past use of in-product messaging tools alongside lifecycle orchestration platforms beyond standard email.
  • Direct, hands-on deployment experience with AI agents in a customer-facing workflow.
