Deal sizes range from approximately $500,000 to $50 million for equipment that holds durable collateral value.
This is a remote, hands-on role suited for individuals who can independently build a portfolio from scratch without an inherited territory. The position involves guiding transactions ranging from $500,000 to $50 million through the entire lifecycle, from the first conversation to final funding. Professionals in this role will collaborate closely with executive leadership and credit teams to structure customized financing solutions for clients who fall outside traditional bank underwriting criteria.
The successful candidate will manage transactions for non-investment-grade, unrated, growth-stage, turnaround, and sponsor-backed enterprises. This opportunity allows originators to shape market strategy as the organization moves into new industries, with future potential to build and lead a team once a strong and self-sustaining portfolio is established. Candidates must demonstrate a documented history of personally originating and closing equipment finance deals, bringing active industry relationships, and showing comfort working in a self-directed, independent environment.
Responsibilities
- Source and close equipment finance loans and leases through direct efforts
- Develop a qualified pipeline using borrower and referral connections
- Evaluate customer profiles, equipment types, sponsorship, transaction structures, risk factors, and repayment strategies
- Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and documentation departments to advance deals toward funding
- Establish a sustainable portfolio and deliver market intelligence as the company enters new sectors
