The National University of Science and Technology is seeking a Director for the Graduate School of Business Sciences located in Bulawayo. This on-site leadership position involves guiding an established business school that has provided executive, doctoral, and postgraduate education since 1997. The incoming leader will report directly to the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences and will be tasked with steering the institution's ongoing growth, academic distinction, and global connectivity.
This role suits experienced business leaders, practitioner-scholars, and senior professionals who can foster corporate partnerships, drive curriculum innovation, and enhance research output. The successful candidate will manage commercial and entrepreneurial expansion, oversee operational and financial performance, and elevate executive and student experiences. Candidates will also lead faculty development and build robust international and domestic institutional networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to support institutional growth and sustainability
- Develop and expand executive and professional training programs for entrepreneurs and senior leaders
- Establish trusted corporate and government partnerships
- Drive academic excellence through curriculum development, quality assurance, and relevant learning methods
- Build a research culture focused on business, policy, and societal challenges

Requirements
- Hold a PhD or equivalent research doctorate in a discipline such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Organisational Behaviour, or Business Administration from a recognized research university
- Demonstrate standing as a senior or tenured professor, or equivalent seniority as a practitioner-scholar
- Possess extensive senior managerial, professional, or industry leadership experience
- Show demonstrated experience in postgraduate or executive education
- Provide a record of institutional leadership, people management, and organizational development
- Demonstrate a history of forming partnerships with industry, government, or international bodies
- Present evidence of research publications or significant intellectual contributions
